וְאִם הוּא יָתוֹם אוֹ אַלְמָנָה, (טו) אֲפִלּוּ הֵם עֲשִׁירִים, וְסִפֵּר גְּנוּתָם בִּפְנֵיהֶם, עוֹבֵר עוֹד עַל לָאו אַחֵר וְהוּא (שמות כ"ב כ"א): "כָּל אַלְמָנָה וְיָתוֹם לֹא תְעַנּוּן", שֶׁהִזְהִירָה הַתּוֹרָה בָּזֶה שֶּׁלֹּא לְהַקְנִיטָן אוֹ לְהַכְאִיב לִבָּן בְּשׁוּם מִין צַעַר. וְעָנְשׁוֹ מְפֹרָשׁ בַּתּוֹרָה (שם כ"ג): "וְחָרָה אַפִּי וְהָרַגְתִּי אֶתְכֶם" וְגוֹ'.
(15) And if the other were an orphan or a widow, even if they were wealthy, and he spoke demeaningly before them, he also transgresses (Shemoth 22:21): "Every widow and orphan you shall not afflict," the Torah exhorting hereby not to taunt them or sadden their heart with any kind of sorrow. The punishment for this is explicit in the Torah (Ibid 23): "And My wrath shall burn, and I shall kill you by the sword, and your wives will be widows, and your children, orphans."
(15) Если речь идёт о сироте или вдове, даже если они богаты, и он рассказал о них дурное в их присутствии, он нарушает ещё один запрет (Шмот 22:21): «Никакой вдовы и сироты не притесняйте». Тора предупреждает этим, что нельзя раздражать их или причинять им сердечную боль никаким видом страдания. И наказание за это прямо указано в Торе (там же 22:23): «И воспылает гнев Мой, и убью вас» и т.д.
