וְרָאִיתִי לַחְתֹּם פְּתִיחַת הַסֵּפֶר הַזֶּה בְּמָשָׁל נָאֶה יְזָרֵז אוֹתְךָ לַעֲמֹד עַל עִנְיָנָיו וִיעִירְךָ לָדַעַת מַעֲלַת הַמִּין הַזֶּה מִן הַמִּצְוֹת מִשְּׁאֵרִיתָן וּמַעֲלַת שְׁאָר הַחָכְמוֹת הַטִּבְעִיּוֹת וְהַמּוּסָרִיּוֹת וְהַדִּבְּרִיּוֹת מֵחָכְמַת הַתּוֹרָה וַהֲבִינֵהוּ בְּקָרְאֲךָ אוֹתוֹ וַהֲשִׁיבֵהוּ בְּרַעְיוֹנֶיךָ תִּמְצָא מָה שֶׁאַתָּה חָפֵץ בְּעֶזְרַת הַשֵּׁם.
I saw fitting to conclude the introduction of this book with a wondrous parable, which will stimulate you to study its content, and arouse you to realize the special importance of this class of commandments over the others, as well as the difference between the level of the physical, philosophical, and linguistic wisdoms to the level of the wisdom of the Torah. И я решил завершить вступление к этой книге прекрасной притчей, которая побудит тебя вникнуть в её содержание и пробудит тебя к осознанию превосходства этого вида заповедей над прочими, и превосходства мудрости Торы над остальными науками — естественными, прикладными и ораторскими.
