עַד אֲשֶׁר בִּקַּשְׁתִּיו בְּסֵפֶר הַתּוֹרָה וּמְצָאתִיו שֶׁנִּזְכַּר בּוֹ פְּעָמִים רַבּוֹת כְּמוֹ שֶׁאָמַר (דברים ו) וְאָהַבְתָּ אֵת ה׳ אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכָל לְבָבְךָ וּבְכָל נַפְשְׁךָ וּבְכָל מְאֹדֶךָ וְהָיוּ הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם עַל לְבָבֶךָ וְאָמַר (שם ל) לְאַהֲבָה אֶת ה׳ אֱלֹהֶיךָ לִשְׁמֹעַ בְּקֹלוֹ וּלְדָבְקָה בוֹ וְאָמַר (שם יא) לְאַהֲבָה אֶת ה׳ אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וּלְעָבְדוֹ בְּכָל לְבַבְכֶם וּבְכָל נַפְשְׁכֶם וְאָמַר (שם יג) אַחֲרֵי ה׳ אֱלֹהֵיכֶם תֵּלֵכוּ וְאֹתוֹ תִירָאוּ וְאָמַר (ויקרא י״ט:י״ח) וְאָהַבְתָּ לְרֵעֲךָ כָּמוֹךָ וְאָמַר (דברים י) וְעַתָּה יִשְׂרָאֵל מָה ה׳ אֱלֹהֶיךָ שֹׁאֵל מֵעִמָּךְ כִּי אִם לְיִרְאָה וְאָמַר שָׁם וַאֲהַבְתֶּם (את) הַגֵּר וְגוֹ׳ וְהַיִּרְאָה וְהָאַהֲבָה מֵחוֹבוֹת הַלְּבָבוֹת.
But when I searched in the torah, I found that it is mentioned frequently. For example (Deut. 6:5-6): "you shall love the L-ord your G-d with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might; And these words, which I command you this day, shall be on your heart", and "so that you may love the L-ord your G-d, and that you may hearken to His voice, and that you may cling to Him" (Deut. 30:20), and "to love the L-ord your G-d and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul" (Deut. 11:13), and "You shall walk after the L-ord your G-d and fear Him" (Deut. 13:5), and "you shall love your fellow as yourself" (Levit.19:18), and "now, Israel, what does the L-ord your G-d ask of you, but to fear the L-ord your G-d" (Deut. 10:12), and "Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt" (Deut. 10:19). And reverence for G-d and love for Him are among the duties of the heart.

И сказано (там же, 11): «Любить Г-спода, Б-га вашего, и служить Ему всем сердцем вашим и всей душой вашей». И сказано (там же, 13): «За Г-сподом, Б-гом вашим, следуйте, и Его бойтесь». И сказано (Ваикра 19:18): «И люби ближнего твоего, как самого себя». И сказано (Дварим 10): «И ныне, Израиль, что Г-сподь, Б-г твой, просит у тебя? Только бояться [Его]». И сказано там: «И любите пришельца» и т.д. А страх и любовь — из обязанностей сердец.
