וַאֲנִי שָׁאַלְתִּי אֶחָד מֵהַנֶּחְשָׁבִים מֵחַכְמֵי הַתּוֹרָה בְּמִקְצָת מָה שֶׁזָּכַרְתִּי לְךָ בְּחָכְמוֹת הַמַּצְפּוּן וְהֵשִׁיב אוֹתִי כִּי הַקַּבָּלָה תַּעֲמֹד בִּמְקוֹם הָעִיּוּן בָּזֶה וּבְמָה שֶׁדּוֹמֶה לוֹ.
I once asked a man who was considered among the Torah Sages concerning some of the topics we mentioned regarding the inner wisdom and he replied that on this and similar things, the tradition is sufficient to stand in place of rational inquiry.
И я спросил одного из видных знатоков Торы о кое-чём из того, что я упомянул тебе относительно тайных наук, и он ответил мне, что предание заменяет исследование в этом и в подобных вопросах.
