וְאִם יֵשׁ אִישׁ סָכָל שֶׁחוֹלֵק בְּחִיּוּב כָּל זֶה לַבּוֹרֵא יִתְבָּרַךְ עַל הָאָדָם כְּשֶׁהוּא מַבְחִין וּמִתְבּוֹנֵן בָּעִנְיָן הַזֶּה וּמוֹדֶה בֶּאֱמֶת עַל עַצְמוֹ הֲלֹא יֵעוֹר הַיָּשֵׁן וְיִקַץ הַמִּתְעַלֵּם וְיַבְחִין הַכְּסִיל וְיַשְׂכִּיל הַמַּשְׂכִּיל בֵּרוּר חִיּוּב קַבָּלַת עֲבוֹדַת הָאֱלֹהִים עִם בֵּרוּר הָרְאָיוֹת וּפִרְסוּם הָעֵדִים וַאֲמִתַּת הַמּוֹפְתִים וכמ״ש הַנָּבִיא ע״ה לְמִי שֶׁהִתְעַלֵּם מֵעַיֵּן בְּקַבָּלַת עֲבוֹדַת הָאֱלֹהִים ית׳ (דברים לב) הַלְה׳ תִּגְמְלוּ זֹאת עַם נָבָל וְלֹא חָכָם.
Should anyone be so foolish as to contest this obligation of a human being towards the Creator - when he examines and closely studies the subject, and acknowledges the truth to himself, the sleeper will surely awake, the negligent will be aroused, the ignorant will investigate, the intelligent will understand, the demonstration of the obligatory character of the service of G-d, through the clear proofs, well known testimony, and true signs; as the prophet, peace be unto him, said concerning one who neglects to reflect upon the obligation of the service of G-d, "Do you thus repay the L-ord, O foolish and unwise people? [is not he your Father that has acquired you? has He not made you, and established you?]" (Devarim 32:6).
И если найдётся глупец, оспаривающий обязательность всего этого по отношению к Творцу, да будет Он благословен, для человека, когда тот исследует и вдумается в этот предмет и признает истину о себе, — разве не пробудится спящий, и не очнётся невнимательный, и не вразумится глупец, и не уразумеет разумный обязательность принятия служения Б-гу — при ясности доказательств, известности свидетельств и истинности аргументов? Как сказал пророк, мир ему, тому, кто пренебрёг вниманием к принятию служения Б-гу, да будет Он благословен (Дварим 32:6): "Г-споду ли воздаёте вы это, народ глупый и неразумный?!"
