אמרה הנשמה – המסיבות הגדולות המתהפכות בעולם המראות תמיד לכאורה הפך ההשגחה ח"ו. כל שכן שאין הסברא רואה סוף הענינים להיכן הם מגיעים, מה רוצה האדון ב"ה בבריותיו, ולמה הוא מנהלם, ומה אחרית כל אלה; כי מעשי ה' ית' נראה בהם רוחב כל כך גדול שאין שום לב מכיל אותם. והייתי רוצה שתלמדני דרך ישרה להבין יושר הענינים האלה, מבלתי נטות ימין ושמאל:
Said the Soul - The great revolutions that overturn the world have the constant seeming appearance of the opposite of [HaShem's] providence G-d forbid. More so because the logical conclusion never sees the end of matters to where they arrive, what does the master may he be blessed want with his creations, and why he manages them, and what will be the end of all this; because the actions of HaShem may he be blessed have the appearance of such breadth that no heart can grasp them. And I wanted you to teach me the straight path to understand the integrity of these matters, without leaning right or left.
Сказала Нешама (Душа): — Великие события, переворачивающиеся в мире, которые постоянно, по-видимому, показывают противоположность Ашгаха (Провидению), хас ве-шалом. Тем более что рассуждение не видит конца дел — к чему они приходят: чего хочет Господин, благословен Он, от Своих творений, и почему Он ими управляет, и каков конец всего этого; ибо в деяниях Г-спода, да будет Он благословен, видится такая широта, что никакое сердце не вмещает их. И я хотела бы, чтобы ты научил меня прямому пути понимать прямизну этих дел, не уклоняясь ни вправо, ни влево.
