המין האנושי נשתנה: וממה שיצטרך עוד לדעת שהנה המין האנושי אין ענינו הראשון כמו שאנו רואים ומבחינים אותו עתה כי אולם שינוי גדול היה בו והוא ענין חטאו של אדה״ר שנשתנה בו האדם והעולם ממה שהיו בתחלה. ואולם פרטי השינוי הזה ותולדותיהם רבים ועוד נדבר בם לפנים בס״ד ונמצא שהדיבור במין האנושי וההבחנה בנשואיו כפולים כי ידובר בו ובנשואיו בבחינתו קודם החטא וידובר בו ובנשואיו בבחינתו אחר החטא וכמו שנבאר עוד בעז"ה:
The human specie changed: And among that which one must also know is that the nature of the human specie that we see and distinguish now is not like at first. Rather there was a great change in him, and that is the matter of the sin of the first man (Adam) - as through it, man and the world were changed from what they were at the beginning. And there are indeed many components of this change and its outgrowths, and we will write about them in the continuation with God's help (Part 2, On Israel and the Nations 2). And it comes out that discussion about the human specie and distinguishing its properties [needs to be] doubled. Изменение рода человеческого: Из того, что ещё необходимо знать, — что род человеческий ныне не таков, каким он был изначально, как мы его видим и наблюдаем сейчас. Ибо произошло в нём великое изменение, а именно — грех Адама, первого человека, вследствие которого изменились и человек, и мир по сравнению с тем, чем они были вначале. Подробности этого изменения и его последствия многочисленны, и мы ещё будем говорить о них далее, с Божьей помощью. И получается, что рассуждение о роде человеческом и рассмотрение его свойств — двойное, ибо о нём и его свойствах говорится в аспекте до греха, и о нём и его свойствах говорится в аспекте после греха, как мы ещё разъясним далее, с Божьей помощью.
