נצנוץ רוח הקודש בהעלם: ואולם מדריגות על מדריגות נמצאו בדבר בין בענין כח השפע הנשפע בין בזמן השפעו בין בדרך הגיעו אל האדם ובמהות הדברים המתגלים ונודעים לו עי״ז. אמנם בכלם תהיה ההשפעה בדרך שירגיש בה המושפע בבירור. אכן עוד יקרה שיושפע בלב האדם שפע שיעמידהו על תוכן ענין מהענינים אך לא ירגיש בו המושפע אלא כמי שנופלת מחשבה בלבבו ויקרא זה לפעמים ע״ד הרחבה רה״ק בדברי חז״ל או השפעה נסתרת. אבל רה״ק באמת הוא שיהיה ניכר ונרגש בבירור לבעליו וכמ״ש:
Sparking of holy spirit in its absence: However, there are different levels found in the thing - in the matter of the power of the flow of the influences, in the way that it comes to a man and in the nature of the things that are revealed and made known through it. Yet in all of them, the influence exists in such a way that the one influenced is fully aware of it. However it can also happen that an influence will flow into the heart of a man, such that he will master the content of a certain matter but will not feel from it that he is influenced, but rather feel like someone who had a thought occur to him. And sometimes - in the words of the Sages, may their memory be blessed - this is [also] called the holy spirit, or hidden influence, by way of extension. Nevertheless true holy spirit is clearly recognizable and felt by its holder.
Проблеск Руах а-Кодеш в сокрытии: Множество ступеней обнаруживается в этом деле: в силе изливаемого изобилия, во времени его излияния, в способе его достижения человеком и в сущности вещей, открывающихся и становящихся ему известными через это. Однако во всех случаях излияние происходит таким образом, что получающий его ощущает его ясно. Впрочем, бывает и так, что в сердце человека изливается изобилие, открывающее ему суть некоего дела, но получающий не ощущает его как таковое, а лишь как мысль, упавшую ему в сердце. Это иногда называется в расширительном смысле Руах а-Кодеш в словах мудрецов, или же скрытым излиянием. Но Руах а-Кодеш в истинном смысле — это когда оно ясно распознаётся и ощущается его обладателем, как было сказано.
