ענין מזליה חזי: ואמנם יש לנשמה העליונה הזאת מקרים מיוחדים ראוים לה כפי ענינה ואעפ״י שהיא נקשרת בקישוריה בגוף כמ״ש. נשאר לה קצת ענין עם הרוחנים מה שאין קשרה בגוף מונע ממנה. אמנם אין נמשך ונולד מזה דבר מורגש וניכר בשכל האדם ומחשבתו אלא לפעמים ע״ל המיעוט והוא משז״ל אע״ג דאיהו לא חזי מזליה חזי שכבר הגיע הענין לנפש הזאת העליונה ולא הגיע ממנה אל המחשבה והשכל ציור שלם אלא קצת התעוררות ולא יותר:
Regarding "his constellation saw": Yet this higher soul is subject to unique experiences, appropriate for it according to its nature. Even though it is connected to the body, as we have written, it retains some commonality with the spiritual - to the extent that it is not prevented by its connection to the body. Nevertheless nothing is felt and recognized by man's intellect and mind, except occasionally. And this is that which they, may their memory be blessed, said, "He did not see, but his constellation saw" (Megillah 3a) - that the matter already comes to this higher spirit; yet a full image does not come to the mind and the intellect, but rather only a small arousal and nothing more.
Понятие "мазалей хази" (его ангел-хранитель видит): У высшей души есть особые проявления, подобающие ей по её природе, и хотя она связана своими связями с телом, как было сказано, у неё остаётся некоторое сообщение с духовными сущностями, которому её связь с телом не препятствует. Однако из этого не проистекает ничего ощутимого и распознаваемого разумом и мыслью человека — разве что изредка, в самой малой мере. Это и есть сказанное мудрецами: "Хотя он сам не видит, его мазаль видит" — ибо дело уже достигло этой высшей души, но от неё к мысли и разуму не дошёл полный образ, а лишь некоторое пробуждение, и не более того.
