ההשגחה עליהם: ואמנם אעפ״י שאין הקב״ה משגיח על האומות בפרטיהם כבר אפשר שישגיח בהם לצורך יחיד או רבים מישראל אמנם זה בבחינת המקרים האמצעיים שביארנו בפ׳ הקודם:
Providence over them: Yet even though the Holy One, blessed be He, does not oversee the nations in their details, it is already possible that He oversee them for the sake of an individual or a group of Israelites. Nevertheless this is by way of events which are a means, that we explained in the previous chapter (On Personal Providence 12).
