זמן קטנות וזמן גדלותיט. והנה נתבאר, שמסבת עלית המלכות לבינה, נעשו שני זמנים בכל מדרגה: זמן קטנות וזמן גדלות, כי עם עלית המלכות לבינה, היא מסיימת שם המדרגה תחת החכמה, ובינה ותפארת ומלכות של המדרגה יוצאים מן המדרגה ובאים למדרגה שמתחתיה, ועל כן לא נשארו במדרגה אלא כתר חכמה דכלים ורוח נפש דאורות, וחסרה משלש ראשונות, וזה הוא זמן קטנות (כנזכר לעיל באות י"ז).
A Phase of Immaturity and a Phase of Maturity 19. It has thus been explained that due to the ascent of Malkhut to Bina, two phases take place in each level: a phase of immaturity and a phase of maturity. With the ascent of Malkhut to Bina, Malkhut arrests the level there under Ḥokhma, and the Bina, Tiferet, and Malkhut of the level leave the level and enter the level below. Therefore, only the vessels of Keter and Ḥokhma and the lights of ruaḥ and nefesh remain in the level, and the level is consequently lacking the first three lights. This is the phase of immaturity (as stated above in section 17).
Время катнут и время гадлут. ЙТ. Итак, разъяснилось, что вследствие подъёма Малхут к Бине на каждой ступени образуются два периода: период катнут (малости) и период гадлут (величия). Ибо с подъёмом Малхут к Бине она завершает ступень под Хохмой, и Бина, Тиферет и Малхут ступени выходят со ступени и переходят на ступень, находящуюся ниже. Поэтому на ступени остались лишь Кетер и Хохма из Келим, и Руах и Нефеш из Светов, и она лишена трёх первых. Это и есть период катнут (как упомянуто выше, в пункте 17).
ואחר שהתחתונים מעלים מיין נוקבין וממשיכים הארה מחכמה בינה דא"ק, המוציאה את המלכות מבינה, אז שלשה הכלים, בינה ותפארת ומלכות, שנפלו למדרגה שמתחתיה, חוזרים ועולים משם למדרגתם כבתחילה. וכיון שכבר יש חמשה כלים כח"ב תו"מ במדרגה, חוזרים ומתלבשים בהם חמש אורות, נפש רוח נשמה חיה יחידה (כנזכר לעיל אות י"ח), וזהו זמן הגדלות של המדרגה (וכבר הרחבנו אלו הדברים ב{הקדמת ספר הזהר {אות יג} דף כ' בהסולם בדבור המתחיל צייר. וטוב שתעיין שם).
After the lower creations raise the feminine waters and draw forth the illumination from Ḥokhma and Bina of Adam Kadmon, which removes Malkhut from Bina, the three vessels of Bina, Tiferet, and Malkhut, which fell to the level below, return and ascend from there to their level as before. Since the five vessels, Keter, Ḥokhma, Bina, Tiferet, and Malkhut, are in their level, the five lights, yeḥida, ḥaya, neshama, ruaḥ, and nefesh, become enclothed in them once more (as stated above in section 18). This is the phase of maturity of the level. (It would be informative to refer to the Introduction to the Zohar, page 20, in the Sulam , s.v. “tziyer” where this idea is explained).
А после того как нижние поднимают Маин Нуквин и притягивают свечение от Хохма и Бина Адама Кадмона, выводящее Малхут из Бины, тогда три Кли — Бина, Тиферет и Малхут, упавшие на ступень ниже, — возвращаются и поднимаются оттуда на свою ступень, как прежде. И поскольку на ступени уже есть пять Келим КаХа"Б Ту"М, в них снова облачаются пять Светов: Нефеш, Руах, Нешама, Хая, Ехида (как упомянуто выше, пункт 18). И это — период гадлут (величия) ступени. והנה נתבאר, שמחמת נפילת בינה ותפארת ומלכות של המדרגה למדרגה שמתחתיה, נמצאת המדרגה בקטנות, דהיינו בחסרון שלש ראשונות, ועל ידי חזרת בינה ותפארת ומלכות למדרגה, נמצאת המדרגה בגדלות, דהיינו במילוי שלש ראשונות.
It has thus been explained that due to the falling of Bina, Tiferet, and Malkhut from their level to the level below, the level is in a state of immaturity, that is, lacking in the lights of the first three, and through the return of Bina, Tiferet, and Malkhut to the level, the level is in a state of maturity, that is, with the filling of the first three vessels with their respective lights.
Итак, разъяснилось, что вследствие падения Бины, Тиферет и Малхут ступени на ступень ниже, данная ступень оказывается в состоянии катнут, то есть в недостатке трёх первых. А благодаря возвращению Бины, Тиферет и Малхут на ступень, она оказывается в состоянии гадлут, то есть в наполнении трёх первых.
