ולפיכך תורה ומצוות הם קצהו של החבל, שאין אדם בעולם שלא יוכל להחזיק בו. ואם תופס בו בחזקה, דהיינו שזוכה לעסוק בתורה ומצוות לשמה, דהיינו לעשות נחת רוח ליוצרו ולא לתועלת עצמו, אז התורה והמצוות מביאים אותו להשוואת הצורה עם הקב"ה, שהוא סוד 'ולדבקה בו' כנ"ל – שאז זוכה להשיג כל מחשבותיו של הקב"ה, הנקראות רזי תורה וטעמי תורה, שהם כל שאר החבל, שאין זוכה בו אלא אחר שבא לדבקות השלימה, כנ"ל.
According to it, the Torah and the commandments are the end of the rope; anyone in the world can hold on to it. If he holds fast to it, that is, if he merits to engage in the Torah and the commandments for their own sake, that is, to give satisfaction to his maker instead of doing so for his own benefit, the Torah and the commandments bring him into a similarity of form with the Holy One, blessed be He. This is the meaning of “to hold fast to him,” as said. He then merits to grasp all the thoughts of the Holy One, blessed be He that are called the mysteries of the Torah and the interpretations of the Torah, which are the rest of the rope. This he attains only after he reaches the state of complete cleaving, as said.
И потому Тора и заповеди — это конец верёвки, за который нет человека в мире, который не мог бы ухватиться. А если он хватается за неё крепко, то есть удостаивается заниматься Торой и заповедями лишма, то есть доставить удовольствие Создателю, а не ради собственной пользы, тогда Тора и заповеди приводят его к уподоблению формы Святому, благословен Он, что является тайной «и прилепиться к Нему», как сказано выше. И тогда он удостаивается постичь все мысли Святого, благословен Он, называемые тайнами Торы и смыслами Торы, — которые составляют всю остальную верёвку, и удостоиться её можно лишь после достижения полного слияния, как сказано выше.
