מדרגות ועולמותט. ומה שאנו מדמים מחשבותיו של הקב"ה דהיינו רזי התורה וטעמי התורה לחבל, הוא משום שיש הרבה מדרגות בהשוואת הצורה עם השי"ת, ועל כן יש הרבה מדרגות בחלק החבל88חבל מלשון חלק ושיעור מידה, כמו "חבל נחלתכם" (עי' מצודת ציון יחזקאל מז, יג). שבו, דהיינו בהשגת רזי התורה. שלפי מידתה של מדרגת השוואת הצורה של האדם להשי"ת, כן מידת השגתו ברזי התורה, דהיינו בידיעת מחשבותיו יתברך. שבדרך כלל הן ה' מדרגות: נפש רוח נשמה חיה יחידה, שכל אחת כלולה מכולן ויש בכל אחת ה' מדרגות. ונפרטות, שבכל אחת מהן יש לכל הפחות כ"ה מדרגות.
Levels and worlds9. The reason we liken the thoughts of the Holy One, blessed be He, that is, the mysteries of the Torah and the interpretations of the Torah, to a rope is that the similarity of form to the blessed Creator contains many gradations. Its section of the rope therefore contains many gradations, that is, levels of attaining the mysteries of the Torah. Attainment of the mysteries of the Torah is measured by the level of the similarity of form to the Holy One, blessed be He. It has five general levels: Nefesh, Ruaḥ, Neshama, Ḥaya, and Yeḥida. Each comprises all of them, and each one contains five individual levels to a total of at least twenty-five levels.
Ступени и миры. 9. А то, что мы уподобляем мысли Святого, благословен Он, то есть тайны Торы и смыслы Торы, верёвке, — это потому, что есть много ступеней в уподоблении формы Всевышнему, и поэтому есть много ступеней в той части верёвки, то есть в постижении тайн Торы. Ибо в соответствии с мерой ступени уподобления формы человека Всевышнему — такова и мера его постижения тайн Торы, то есть знания Его мыслей, благословен Он. В общем, это пять ступеней: нефеш, руах, нешама, хая, йехида, каждая из которых включает все остальные, и в каждой есть пять ступеней. И в подробностях — в каждой из них есть по меньшей мере двадцать пять ступеней.
