זמן נתינה וזמן קבלהיא. יש לדעת שעניינים רוחניים אינם כעניינים גשמיים, בהם הנתינה והקבלה באים כאחת. כי ברוחניות, זמן נתינה לחוד וזמן קבלה לחוד. כי תחילה ניתן הדבר מהשי"ת למקבל, ובנתינה זו נותן לו רק הזדמנות לקבל, אבל עוד לא קיבל כלום. עד שיתקדש ויטהר כראוי, אז זוכה לקבל הדבר. באופן שמזמן הנתינה עד זמן הקבלה יכול להתעכב זמן מרובה. לפי זה, מה שאמרנו שהדור הזה כבר הגיע להכתוב "ומלאה הארץ דעה את ה'" וגו', הנה זה אמור מבחינת נתינה בלבד, אבל לבחינת קבלה ודאי לא הגענו. עד שנטהר ונתקדש ונלמד ונתייגע בשיעור הרצוי, אז יגיע זמן הקבלה ויקוים בנו הכתוב "ומלאה הארץ דעה את ה'" וגו'.
Time of giving and time of receiving11. We need to know that spiritual matters differ from material matters for which giving and receiving occur simultaneously. On the spiritual plane, giving and receiving occur separately. First, something is given by the Lord to the recipient; the giving merely enables the receiver to receive it; but the receiver has not received anything yet. Only when the receiver becomes properly sanctified and purified, does he merit to receive it. Thus, a long time may pass from the time of giving until the time of receiving. According to this, this generation has reached the state proclaimed in the verse “for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord” but only in terms of giving. We have not yet reached the receiving aspect until we are purified and sanctified and study and toil sufficiently. Then will the time of receiving arrive and the verse will be upheld of us, “for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord.”
Время дарования и время получения. 11. Следует знать, что духовные вещи не таковы, как вещи материальные, в которых дарование и получение происходят одновременно. Ибо в духовном время дарования — отдельно, а время получения — отдельно. Потому что вначале вещь даётся Всевышним получающему, и в этом дарении Он даёт ему лишь возможность получить, но тот ещё ничего не получил. Пока он не освятится и не очистится должным образом — тогда он удостаивается получить эту вещь. Таким образом, от времени дарования до времени получения может пройти долгое время. Согласно этому, то, что мы сказали, что это поколение уже достигло сказанного «и наполнится земля знанием Г-спода» и т.д., — это сказано лишь с точки зрения дарования, но с точки зрения получения мы, безусловно, ещё не достигли. Пока мы не очистимся и не освятимся и не будем учиться и трудиться в должной мере — тогда наступит время получения и исполнится в нас сказанное «и наполнится земля знанием Г-спода» и т.д.
