ו וְעַל־יְדֵי הַגַּאֲוָה שֶׁל אֵלּוּ הַמַּנְהִיגֵי הַדּוֹר, עַל־יְדֵי־זֶה הֵם מַגְבִּירִים תַּאֲוַת נִאוּף בָּעוֹלָם, בִּבְחִינַת (משלי ו׳:כ״ו): וְאֵשֶׁת אִישׁ נֶפֶשׁ יְקָרָה תָצוּד, שֶׁעַל יְדֵי גַּאֲוָה מִתְגַּבֵּר תַּאֲוַת נִאוּף, שֶׁהִיא בְּחִינַת חוֹתָם דְּסִטְרָא אַחֲרָא, בְּחִינַת (ויקרא ט״ו:ג׳): הֶחְתִּים בְּשָׂרוֹ מִזוֹבוֹ; כִּי עַל־יְדֵי חֶרֶב הַגַּאֲוָה דִּקְדֻשָּׁה מִתְגַּבְּרִים עַל תַּאֲוַת נִאוּף, בִּבְחִינַת (תהילים מ״ה:ד׳): חֲגוֹר חַרְבְּךָ עַל יָרֵךְ, אֲבָל עַל־יְדֵי חֶרֶב הַגַּאֲוָה שֶׁל אֵלּוּ הַמַּנְהִיגִים הַנַּ"ל שֶׁמְּקַבְּלִים מֵהַגֵּרִים כַּנַּ"ל, מִתְגַּבֵּר, חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, תַּאֲוָה זוֹ כַּנַּ"ל:
6. And the haughtiness of these leaders of the generation increases people’s desire for illicit relations, as in “the adulteress traps the haughty soul” (Proverbs 6:26). Haughtiness increases lust, which is the ChoTeM (seal) of the Other Side, as in “his flesh heChTiM (becomes stopped up) because of his discharge” (Leviticus 15:3). The reason is that desire for illicit relations is quashed through the sword of holy pride, as in “Gird your sword upon your thigh” (Psalms 45:4). But on account of the sword of pride that the leaders receive from converts, this desire increases, God forbid.
6. А гордыня этих глав поколения увеличивает у людей влечение к запретным связям, как сказано: «прелюбодейка ловит душу надменную» (Мишлей 6:26). Гордыня увеличивает похоть, которая есть ХоТеМ (печать) Ситра Ахра, как сказано: «плоть его ḥеХТиМ (закупоривается) из‑за истечения его» (Ваикра 15:3). Причина в том, что влечение к запретным связям подавляется мечом святой гордости, как сказано: «Препояшь меч твой по бедру твоему» (Теилим 45:4). Но из‑за меча гордыни, который руководители получают от геров, это влечение усиливается, не дай Б-г.
