ב וְדַע, שֶׁעַל־יְדֵי תִּקּוּן בְּרִית קֹדֶש, הוּא נִצּוֹל מִפָּנִים דְּסִטְרָא אָחֳרָא. עַל־יְדֵי דַּם בְּרִית, נִתְתַּקֵּן דַּם נִדָּה, תַּאֲוַת מָמוֹן. כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב (זכריה ט׳:י״א): גַּם בְּדַם בְּרִיתֵךְ – עַל־יְדֵי בְּרִית – שִׁלַּחְתִּי אֲסִירַיִךְ מִבּוֹר. בּוֹר דָּא טְחוֹל, מָרָה שְׁחוֹרָה, בְּעִצָּבוֹן תֹּאכֲלֶנָּה.
2. And know! by rectifying the holy brit (Covenant) he is saved from the countenance of the Other Side. Through the blood of circumcision, the blood of menstruation—the desire for money—is rectified. As it is written (Zechariah 9:11), “Also with the blood of your covenant”—through circumcision—“I have freed your prisoners from the pit.” “The pit” is the spleen, melancholy, “with great sorrow you will eat.”
2. И знай! исправлением святого brit (Союза) он спасается от лика Ситра Ахра. Через кровь обрезания исправляется кровь нида — вожделение к деньгам. Как написано (Зехарья 9:11): «Также кровью союза твоего» — через обрезание — «Я освободил узников твоих из ямы». «Яма» — это селезёнка, меланхолия: «в великой скорби будешь есть».
כִּי בְּרִית הוּא בְּחִינַת מֶלַח, הַמַּמְתִּיק מְרִירוּת וְעִצְּבוֹן הַפַּרְנָסָה, כַּמּוּבָא בַּזֹּהַר (ויחי רמא:): אִלְמָלֵא מִלְחָא לָא הֲוֵי עַלְמָא יָכְלֵי לְמִסְבַּל מְרִירוּתָא. וְזֶהוּ (במדבר י״ח:י״ט): בְּרִית מֶלַח עוֹלָם הוּא. וְזֶהוּ (ויקרא ב׳:י״ג): אַל תַּשְׁבִּית מֶלַח בְּרִית אֱלֹקֶיךָ – אֱלֹקֶיךָ דַּיְקָא, כִּי עַל־יְדֵי־זֶה נִתְקַשֵּׁר בֶּאֱלֹקוּת, וְנִתְפָּרֵשׁ מֵעֲבוֹדַת אֱלִילִים, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב (איוב י״ט:כ״ו): מִבְּשָׂרִי אֶחֱזֶה אֱלוֹקַּ, כִּי עַל יְדֵי תִּקּוּן הַבְּרִית מֵאִיר לְעַצְמוֹ אוֹר פְּנֵי מֶלֶךְ חַיִּים.
For the Covenant corresponds to salt, which sweetens the sorrow of earning a living. As is brought in the Zohar (I, 241b): “Were it not for salt, the world could not bear the bitterness.” This is the meaning of (Numbers 18:19), “The covenant of salt is eternal”; and it is (Leviticus 2:13), “Do not leave out the salt of the covenant of your Lord.” Specifically “your Lord,” for through this you become bound to Godliness and separated from idolatry. As it is written (Job 19:26), “From my flesh I behold God.” By virtue of rectifying the brit, he causes “the light of the Living King’s countenance” to shine upon himself.
Ибо Союз соответствует соли, которая услащает скорбь добывания пропитания. Как приводится в Зоар (I, 241b): «Если бы не соль, мир не мог бы вынести горечи». Это смысл сказанного (Бемидбар 18:19): «Союз соли — вечен»; и (Ваикра 2:13): «Не оставляй соли союза Б-га твоего». Именно «Б-га твоего», ибо через это ты связываешься с Божественностью и отделяешься от идолопоклонства. Как написано (Иов 19:26): «Из плоти моей узрю Б-га». וְזֶה (כתובות סו:) מֶלַח מָמוֹן חָסֵר, כִּי עַל־יְדֵי מֶלַח נִתְמַעֵט אֶצְלוֹ תַּאֲוַת מָמוֹן:
And this is: With salt, money is lessened (Ketuvot 66b). This is because through salt his desire for money is lessened.
И это: «С солью деньги уменьшаются» (Ктубот 66b). Ибо посредством соли уменьшается его желание к деньгам.
