וְכֵיוָן שֶׁכְּבָר הִתְאַמֵּת אֵצֶל כָּל חָכָם צֹרֶךְ תְּמִימוּת הָעֲבוֹדָה וְחוֹבַת טָהֳרָתָהּ וְנִקְיוֹנָהּ שֶׁזּוּלַת אֵלֶּה אֵינָהּ נִרְצֵית וַדַּאי כְּלָל, אֶלָּא נִמְאֶסֶת וּמְתֹעֶבֶת, כִּי כָל לְבָבוֹת דּוֹרֵשׁ ה' וְכָל יֵצֶר מַחֲשָׁבוֹת הוּא מֵבִין (דה"י א כח)
Since it is clear to every wise man the need for perfection of the divine service, and the necessity for its purity and cleanliness, for without this it is certainly not acceptable at all, but rather it is repulsive and despised since "the L-rd searches all hearts, and discerns all the imaginations of the thoughts [if you seek Him, He will be found of you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off for ever]" (I Chronicles 28:9).
И поскольку у каждого мудреца уже подтвердилась необходимость цельности служения и обязанность его чистоты и безупречности, — ведь без этого оно, несомненно, совсем не будет принято, а напротив, будет отвергнуто и мерзко, — ибо «все сердца исследует Господь и всякое побуждение мыслей понимает Он» (Диврей аЯмим I 28:9).
