ומי שלא ראה העוז והענוה דיליה ביום הלקחו מאתנו. לא ראה עוז וענוה. שמעת תפלת השחר עד עת צאת נשמתו למרום. כל שעה ושעה החליף כח. רגע היה משפיל גופו בדבריו כאשר הרגיש שישוב העפר אל הארץ כשהי'. ופניו שחורות כעורב. וכרגע היה מתאזר עוז בדביקות נפלא ופניו היו מאירים כאור פני מלך חיים. לקשר נפשו ברוחו שתשוב אל האלהים אשר נתנה בטהרה עד רוחו ונשמתו אליו ית"ש נאספו בנשיקה. והיו צרורים בצרור החיים את ה':
And one who didn’t observe his strength and humility on the day when he was taken from us, never observed courage and humility. From the time of the morning prayers until his soul-Neshama departed for the heavens, each and every hour he renewed his strength. One minute he would reduce his physical body with his words, when he felt it would return to the dust, to the earth where it originated, and his face was dark like a raven. And in the next moment gather his strength in amazing/wondrous attachment, and his face would shine like the light of the living King, to connect his soul-Neffesh with his soul-Ruakh, so that he would return to God-Elohi”m in purity, until his soul-Ruakh and soul-Neshama was gathered back to Him (blessed be His name) with a kiss, and they were bound up with the tz’rore ha-chayyim with God-H’.
И кто не видел силы и смирения его в день, когда он был взят от нас, — не видел силы и смирения. С момента, когда он услышал утреннюю молитву, до времени выхода его Нешама (Душа) ввысь, — каждый час и час он менял силу: миг — он унижал своё тело своими словами, когда ощущал, что «вернётся прах в землю, как был», и лицо его чёрное как у ворона; и миг — он препоясывался силой в удивительном Двекут, и лицо его светилось, как свет лица живого царя, — связать свою Нефеш с своим Руахом, чтобы она вернулась к Элоким, Который дал её в чистоте, — пока его Руах и его Нешама (Душа) к Нему, да будет благословенно Имя Его, не собрались «поцелуем». И были связаны в узле жизни у Г‑спода.
