הגהה: וזהו המבואר בזוהר דינא דחייביא בגהינם הא אוליפנא דאיהו למידן תמן חייבי עלמא. וגהינם איהו נור דליק יממא וליליא כגוונא דחייביא מתחממין ביצה"ר הכי איתוקד גהינם. דכתיב אש היא עד אבדון תאכל כי מהאש יצאו והאש תאכלם.
Annotation: And this is what is explained in the Zohar: we learn that the judgment of Gehinnom is to judge those who are guilty in this world. And Gehinnom is a flame that burns day and night—just as the guilty warm themselves in the evil inclination, Gehinnom burns in the same way, for it is written: “It is a fire; it consumes unto doom” (Iyyov 31:12). For from the fire they were produced, and the fire will consume them.
