מה נאכל בשנה השביעית. והלא יכולין היו לאכול מן הששית, אלא בשנה השביעית דבק עם הן לא נזרע ולא נאסוף, וכאלו אמר מה נאכל בשמינית שהרי בשביעית לא נזרע.

[11] «Что будем есть в седьмой год?» Ведь могли бы есть от шестого, но «в седьмой год» связано с «вот мы не сеем и не собираем», и как будто сказано: «что будем есть в восьмой», ведь в седьмой мы не сеем.
מה נאכל בשנה השביעית, “what are we to eat in the seventh year?” The question seems unfounded as the people would naturally eat the harvest of the sixth year of the cycle in the following year, i.e. the seventh year! We must therefore understand the words בשנה השביעית as linked to the words “here we have not sown and we will not gather in,” at the end of our verse. The question is voiced in the seventh year and refers to the eighth year.

[12] «Что будем есть в седьмой год?» (Ваикра 25:20). Вопрос кажется необоснованным, ведь естественно есть урожай шестого года цикла и в следующем, седьмом году! Поэтому следует понимать слова «в седьмой год» как связанные с окончанием стиха: «вот мы не сеем и не собираем». Вопрос произносится в седьмой год и относится к восьмому году.
