Regarding the children of Gad and Reuven, I wrote in another place in the name of Rav Mifrashischa z"l, regarding "Mikneh Rav"(does not mean "many cattle", but instead "acquiring a teacher") that they had the property of adhesion to Moshe Rabbeinu-Peace be upon him. It might be said as well that they wanted this so that they would have the same portion as Moshe Rabbeinu himself. This is the reason that they wanted Moshe Rabbeinu to enter Eretz Yisrael, for if God were to distribute their portions to them, He would not have remained of the Canaanites, and there would have been eternal freedom. Therefore, he gave them the borders, which are the beginning of the acquisition of the land, because the borders are the extremes, the place of adhesion to the root, as it is written in the first chapter, and by this power the whole land was given to them. And the children of Gad and Reuven wanted Moshe Rabbeinu to distribute their portion to them, as mentioned above:

בענין בני גד וב"ר כתבתי במקום אחר בשם הרב מפרשיסחא ז"ל פי' מקנה רב שהי' להם קנין דביקות במרע"ה ע"ש. וי"ל עוד כי רצו בזה כדי שיהי' להם החלוקה עפ"י מרע"ה בעצמו. ולזה הטעם רצה מרע"ה ליכנוס לארץ ישראל שאם הי' הוא המחלק להם לא הי' נשאר מהכנענים והי' חירות עולם. לכן מסר להם הגבולים שהיא התחלת קניית הארץ כי הגבולים הם הקצוות מקום דביקות בהשורש כמ"ש במ"א ובכח זה ניתן להם כל הארץ. ובני גד וראובן רצו שיהי' משה רבינו ע"ה המחלק להם חלקם כנ"ל:

Относительно сыновей Гада и Реувена я писал в другом месте от имени рабби из Пшисхи: «Стада многочисленные» — у них было обретение единения с Моше. И можно добавить, что они хотели этого, дабы раздел был совершён самим Моше. По этой же причине Моше хотел войти в Землю Израиля — ибо если бы он сам распределял, не осталось бы ничего от ханаанеев, и наступила бы вечная свобода. Потому он передал им границы — начало овладения Землёй, ибо границы — это края, место единения с корнем, как я писал в другом месте. И силой этого им была дана вся Земля. А сыновья Гада и Реувена хотели, чтобы Моше сам распределил им их долю, как сказано выше.
