Later Hushai gave counsel in keeping with God’s will but contrary to the desires of Absalom. As a result of Hushai’s advice Absalom fell into David’s hands. However, if Hushai had remained silent, Absalom would have followed Ahitophel’s advice (Perush). and then Hushai, the Archite, advised and he fell into the hands of David.
