מאי דכתיב (דברים ל"ג כג) ירשה רש היה לו לומר, אלא אפי' הקב"ה בכלל, והיינו רש יה, למה"ד למלך שהי' לו ב' אוצרות והקצה אחד מהם, לסוף ימים אמר לבנו טול מה שיש בשני אוצרות הללו, אמר הבן שמא לא יתן לי מה שהקצה, א"ל טול הכל, והיינו דכתיב ים ודרום ירשה, ויה רש וינתן לך הכל ולואי שתשמור דרכי:
[Rabbi Amorai continued,] "Why is it written 'He will inherit (ירשה)' (Deuteronomy 33:23)? It would have sufficed to say 'inherit' (רש) [in the imperative form]. Rather, even the Blessed Holy One is included, and thus, it is, 'inherit Yah [ירשה = רש יה]. To what is this comparable? To a king who had two treasuries and set aside one of them. After many days [literally, 'at the end days'], he said to his son, 'Take what there is in these two treasuries.' The son said, 'Perhaps he did not give me what he set aside.' He [the king] said, ‘Take everything.' And so it was written 'West and south, inherit Yah' (Deuteronomy 33:23) Inherit Yah and He will give you everything — if only you would guard My way."
Что означает написанное (Дварим 33:23) «ирша» (наследуй)? Следовало бы сказать «рош» (голова). Но даже Святой, благословен Он, включён в это, и это «рош Йуд-Эй» (глава Господня). Притча: подобно царю, у которого было два хранилища, и одно из них он спрятал. По прошествии дней сказал он сыну своему: возьми то, что есть в обоих этих хранилищах. Сказал сын: быть может, он не даст мне то, что спрятал? Сказал ему: возьми всё! Это и есть написанное «море и юг наследуй» — «Йуд-Эй рош» — и всё будет дано тебе, лишь бы ты хранил пути Мои.
