יב) אלא רזא דא וכו': אלא סוד זה לא נתגלה, אלא ביום אחד שהייתי על חוף הים, ובא אליהו ואמר לי: רבי, הידעת מהו מי ברא אלה. אמרתי לו, אלו הם, השמים וצבאם, מעשה הקב"ה, שיש לבני אדם להסתכל בהם ולברך אותו. שכתוב, כי אראה שמיך מעשה אצבעותיך וגו', ה' אדוננו מה אדיר שמך בכל הארץ.
12. “However, this secret etc.”However, this secret was revealed only on a certain day when I was on the shore of the sea, and Elijah came and said to me: Rabbi, do you know who has created these?1This phrase of "who has created these," used throughout these sections of the Zohar, is not just a question, but a reference to the verse (found in Isa. 40:26). I replied: These are the heavens and their hosts, the work of the Holy One, blessed be He, for people should look at them and bless Him, as it is stated: “When I behold Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, [the moon and the stars…] O Lord, our Lord, how glorious is Your name in all the earth” [Psalms 8:4, 10].
12) «Однако тайна эта и т.д.»: однако тайна эта не раскрылась, кроме как в один день, когда я был на берегу моря, и пришёл Элияу и сказал мне: «Рабби, знаешь ли ты, что такое “מי ברא אלה” (ми бара эле — “Кто сотворил אלה (эле — эти)”)». Сказал я ему: «Это они — небеса и их воинство, деяние Святого, благословен Он, на которые людям следует смотреть и благословлять Его». Как написано: «Ибо увижу небеса Твои, дело перстов Твоих…», «Господь, Владыка наш, как величественно имя Твоё по всей земле».
