כָּל זֶה שֶׁכָּתַבְנוּ דְּאָסוּר, הוּא אֲפִלּוּ אִם הוּא (ח) אֱמֶת גָּמוּר, שֶׁאֵין בּוֹ תַּעֲרובֶת שֶׁקֶר. וְלָא מִבָּעֵי {ואין צריך לומר} אִם הָיוּ אוֹהֲבִים זֶה לָזֶה מִתְּחִלָּה, וְהוֹלֵךְ וּמְרַגֵּל מִזֶּה לָזֶה, רָשָׁע מִקְרֵי, וְהוּא מְתֹעָב עֲבוּר זֶה מְאֹד לִפְנֵי ה' כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר {משלי ו' טז יט}: שֶׁשׁ הֵנָּה שָׂנִא ה' וְשֶׁבַע תּוֹעֲבַת נַפְשׁוֹ וְכוּ' וּמְשַׁלֵּחַ מְדָנִים בֵּין אַחִים. וְאָמְרוּ חֲזַל {ויקרא רבה מצרע פרשה טז סא}, דְּזוֹ הִיא הַשְּׁבִיעִית הַקָּשָׁה שֶׁבְּכֻלָּן. אֶלָּא אֲפִלּוּ אִם בְּלֹא זֶה הָיוּ גַּם כֵּן (ט) שׂוֹנְאִים זֶה לָזֶה מְאֹד, וְשׁוֹמֵעַ שֶׁאֶחָד מְדַבֵּר רָעָה עַל חֲבֵרוֹ, וְהוּא הוֹלֵךְ וּמְרַגֵּל, רָכִיל מִקְּרֵי.
All that we have said about [rechiluth being] forbidden applies even when it [the story] is absolutely true, containing no admixture of falsehood. And not only when they have loved each other from the beginning and he [the speaker] goes and bears a tale from one against the other, is he called "wicked" and "an abomination before the L–rd," viz. (Mishlei 6:16, 19): "These six are hated by the L–rd, and the seventh is the abomination of His soul… and the inciter of strife among brothers," concerning which Chazal have said (Vayikra Rabbah, Metzora 16:61): "This seventh ['the inciter of strife'] is the severest of all." But even if in the absence of this [rechiluth], they bore great hatred towards each other, and this one [the speaker] went and bore the tale, he is called "a talebearer."
Всё, что мы написали как запрещённое, запрещено даже если это (8) полная правда без примеси лжи. И не только если они изначально любили друг друга, а он идёт и сплетничает от одного к другому — тогда он называется нечестивцем и весьма мерзок пред Господом, как сказано (Мишлей 6:16,19): «Шесть вещей ненавидит Господь, и семь — мерзость души Его... и сеющий раздоры между братьями». И сказали мудрецы (Ваикра Раба, Мецора, глава 16): что это седьмое — самое тяжкое из всех. Но даже если и без того они (9) сильно ненавидели друг друга, и он слышит, что один говорит дурное о другом, и идёт и сплетничает — это тоже называется рехилут.
