וּמֵהֶם שֶׁלֹּא נְהַרְהֵר בַּעֲבֵרוֹת וְלֹא נִתְאַוֵּם וְלֹא נַסְכִּים לַעֲשׂוֹתָם וּמָה שֶׁדּוֹמֶה לָזֶה בְּמָה שֶׁהוּא בְּמַצְפּוּן הָאָדָם וְלֹא יַשְׁקִיף עָלָיו זוּלָתִי הַבּוֹרֵא כְּדִכְתִיב (ירמיה יז) אֲנִי ה׳ חֹקֵר לֵב בֹּחֵן כְּלָיוֹת וּכְתִיב (משלי כ) נֵר אֱלֹהִים נִשְׁמַת אָדָם חֹפֵשׂ כָּל חַדְרֵי בָטֶן:
Among them, that our minds not muse on [doing] transgressions, nor desire them, nor resolve to do them and other similar things which are hidden in a man and observed by none but the Creator, as written "I the L-ord search the heart, I test the mind" (Jer. 17:10) and "the candle of G-d is the spirit of man, searching all the inner depths of the heart" (Prov. 20:27).
И среди них: не помышлять о грехах, не желать их и не соглашаться совершать их. И подобное этому из того, что сокрыто в тайниках души человека и на что не взирает никто, кроме Творца, как написано (Ирмеяу 17): «Я, Г-сподь, испытываю сердца, проверяю почки». И написано (Мишлей 20): «Светильник Г-спода — душа человека, исследующий все тайники чрева».
