וּמִפְּנֵי שֶׁהָיָה סִפְרִי זֶה מִן הַחָכְמָה הָאֱלֹהִית נִשְׁמַרְתִּי בּוֹ מִן הָרְאָיוֹת שֶׁהֵן הוֹלְכוֹת עַל דֶּרֶךְ חָכְמַת הַדִּבּוּר וְחָכְמַת הַשִּׁמּוּשׁ אֶלָּא בַּשַּׁעַר הָרִאשׁוֹן מִמֶּנּוּ כִּי אֶפְשָׁר שֶׁיִּדְחָקֵנוּ הַצֹּרֶךְ אֲלֵיהֶן מִפְּנֵי דַּקּוּת מֶחְקָרֵנוּ בּוֹ.
Since this work is of theological character, I have refrained from the methods of demonstration usual in the sciences of logic and mathematics except in the first gate, where possibly the subtlety of the inquiry compels resort to these methods.
