וְכֵיוָן שֶׁהוּא כֵן הִתְחַיְּבוּ אַנְשֵׁי הַחָכְמָה וְהַמַּדָּע לְהָעִיר מִי שֶׁלֹּא הֵבִין טוֹבוֹת הַבּוֹרֵא וּלְהוֹרוֹת בְּנֵי אָדָם לָדַעַת יִתְרוֹנָן בְּדֶרֶךְ שִׂכְלָם. כִּי כַּמָּה טוֹבוֹת מָנַע בַּעֲלֵיהֶן לֵהָנוֹת מֵהֶן וְעִרְבֵּב שִׂמְחָתוֹ בָּהֶן חֶסְרוֹן הַכָּרָתוֹ אוֹתָן וִידִיעָתוֹ מַעֲלוֹתָן וּכְשֶׁמְּעִירִים אֶת בַּעֲלֵי הַטּוֹבוֹת לְהַכִּיר אָפְנֵי יִתְרוֹנָן וּמְגַלִּים לָהֶם מָה שֶׁנֶּעֱלַם מִדַּעְתָּם מֵהֶן יִגְדַּל שִׁבְחָם וְתִרְבֶּה הוֹדָאָתָם לַמֵּטִיב לָהֶם וְיַשִּׂיגוּ [וְיַגִּיעוּ] בָּזֶה אֶל הַתַּעֲנוּג וְהַהֲנָאָה בָּהֶם בעוה״ז וּלְשָׂכָר טוֹב לעוה״ב.
Since this is so, men of wisdom and knowledge have deemed it their duty to arouse those who did not understand the Creator's beneficence and instruct human beings to realize through their own intellect the high degree. For many benefits fail to be enjoyed altogether or their enjoyment is marred because they are not realized and their high degree is not known. But when the attention of the beneficiaries is called to their high degree and what had been hidden from them is revealed to them, they will offer, in more abundant measure, laudation and thanksgiving to their divine Benefactor, and so will have pleasure and happiness in their life here and receive their good reward in the hereafter.
И коль скоро это так, обязаны люди мудрости и знания пробудить тех, кто не осознал благодеяния Творца, и наставить людей познать их преимущества путём разума. Ибо сколько благ, обладатели которых лишены наслаждения ими, и радость от них омрачена недостатком осознания их и знания их достоинств. А когда пробуждают обладателей благ к осознанию их преимуществ и раскрывают им то, что было скрыто от их разума, — возрастёт их хвала и умножится их благодарность Благодетелю, и достигнут они через это наслаждения и пользы от них в этом мире и доброго вознаграждения в мире грядущем.
