וְכַאֲשֶׁר נִבְחוֹן עַל הַהַקָּשָׁה הַזֹּאת דְּבַר הַבּוֹרֵא יִתְבָּרַךְ וּבְנֵי אָדָם בְּשִׂכְלֵנוּ נִמְצָא הַבּוֹרֵא יִתְבָּרַךְ נַעֲלֶה וְנִשָּׂא וּמְרוֹמָם עַל כָּל נִמְצָא וְכָל מֻשָּׂג בַּהַרְגָּשָׁה וּבַשֵּׂכֶל כְּפִי אֲשֶׁר הִתְבָּאֵר בַּשַּׁעַר הָרִאשׁוֹן מִן הַסֵּפֶר הַזֶּה וְכֵן נִמְצָא הָאָדָם בְּהַקָּשָׁתוֹ אֵצֶל שְׁאָר מִינֵי הַחַיִּים שֶׁאֵינָם מְדַבְּרִים חָסֵר וְחַלָּשׁ מִכֻּלָּם.
Following this analogy, when we investigate, through reason, the relation of the Creator, blessed be He, to human beings, we will find that the Creator, blessed be He, is infinitely exalted and glorified above everything existing, above all that can be apprehended by the senses or conceived by the intellect as has been expounded in the first treatise of this book; and that a human being, in comparison with other species of animals, is the most defective and weakest of them all.
И когда мы рассмотрим по этой аналогии дело Творца, да будет Он благословен, и людей посредством нашего разума, мы обнаружим, что Творец, да будет Он благословен, возвышен, превознесён и вознесён над всем существующим и всем постигаемым чувством и разумом, как было разъяснено в первой главе этой книги. И так же мы обнаружим, что человек в сравнении с прочими видами живых существ, не обладающих речью, — несовершенен и слаб более всех их.
