ואמנם הודיעונו ז״ל התנאים הפרטים הצריכים להתלוות אל התפלה להשלים ענינה בין במה שנוגע אל הקריבה הזאת שזכרנו בין במה שנוגע אל המשכת ההשפעות וכפי כל זה סידרו לנו התפלה בברכותיה וחקקו לנו כל דיניה והלכותיה.
And in truth, [the Sages], may their memory be blessed, informed us of the necessary conditions accompanying prayer in order to fulfill its function - whether regarding this coming close that we mentioned, or whether regarding the bringing down of the influence. And they set up prayer and its blessings for us accordingly, and prescribed all of its laws and guidelines.
Мудрецы сообщили нам частные условия, которые должны сопутствовать молитве для полноты её предмета — как в том, что касается упомянутого приближения, так и в том, что касается привлечения излияний. Сообразно всему этому они установили для нас молитву с её благословениями и начертали для нас все её законы и правила.
