דרך השגת הנביא: אך דרך ההשגה הזאת הוא שתהיה ע״י אמצעיים שלא יתדבק האדם ולא ישיג את כבודו ית׳ כמי שרואה את חבירו לפניו אלא ע״י משרתים ישמשו להשגה שימוש הזכוכית לעין שעל ידם יושג הכבוד. אך המושג באמת יהיה הכבוד ולא אחר אלא שתשתנה ההשגה כפי שינוי האמצעיים כראיה באספקלריות ויבחן בזה מדריגות הריחוק והקירוב ובהירות האספקלריא ועכירותה:
The manner of prophetic perception: Regardless, the manner of this perception is that it be through an intermediary - since man is not able to cleave to, or to grasp, His glory, may He be blessed, in the way one sees his fellow in front of him. Rather it is through servants that serve for [this type of] perception - like eyeglasses serve for the eye, such that it is grasped through them. However what they actually perceive is the glory and [nothing] else. Yet the perception changes according to the difference in the intermediaries - like vision through a lens, such that there are distinguishable levels of distance and closeness, and clarity and murkiness in the various lenses.
Путь постижения пророка: Однако способ этого постижения таков, что оно совершается через посредников: человек не прилепляется и не постигает Славу Его, да будет Он благословен, подобно тому, как видит своего ближнего перед собой, но через служителей, служащих для постижения подобно тому, как стекло служит глазу, — через них постигается Слава. Однако постигаемое в действительности есть именно Слава, а не что-либо иное, но постижение изменяется в зависимости от различия посредников, подобно видению через различные зеркала (аспаклария). В этом различаются ступени удалённости и близости, ясности зеркала и его мутности.
