מקרים לאדם מצד גלגול נשמתו: עוד שורש אחר נמצא להנהגה בעניני העה״ז והוא שהחכמה העליונה סידרה להרבות עוד ההצלה כמ״ש שנשמה אח׳ תבא לעה״ז פעמים שונות בגופים שונים ועי״ז הנה תוכל לתקן בפעם א׳ את אשר קלקלה בפעם אחרת או להשלים מה שלא השלימה ואולם בסוף כל הגלגולים לדין שלע״ל הנה הדין יהיה עליה כפי כל מה שעבר עליה מן הגלגולים שנתגלגלה ומן המצבים שהיתה בם והנה אפשר שיגיעו ענינים לאדם שנשמתו מגולגלת כפי מה שיוגרם לה מצד מה שעשתה בגלגול קודם וינתן לאדם ההוא בעולם מצב כפי זה וכפי המצב שינתן לו יהיה המשא אשר יוטל עליו וכמש״ל וכבר דינו ית״ש מדוקדק על כל אדם לפי מה שהוא בכל בחינותיו. פי׳ בכל פרטי מצבו באופן שלא יעמס לעולם על אדם לעה״ב שהוא הטוב האמיתי אשמה שאין לו באמת אבל יגיע לו מן המשא והפקוד בעה״ז כפי מה שתפלג לו החכמה העליונה וכפי זה יידונו מעשיו והנה פרטי בחינות רבות ימצאו בענין זה של הגלגול איך יהיה האדם נידון לפי מה שהוא בגלגולו ולפי מה שקדם בגלגול אחר לשיהיה הכל ע״פ המשפט האמיתי והישר ועל כל זה נאמר הצור תמים פעלו כי כל דרכיו משפט וכו׳ ואין בברואים ידיעה שתוכל לכלול מחשבות ית״ש ועומק עצתו רק הכלל הזה ידענו ככל שאר הכללים שא׳ ממקורות מקריהם של בני האדם בעה״ז הוא הגלגול ע״פ אותם החוקים והמשפטים הישרים שהוחקו לפניו ית׳ להשלמה זה הענין כלו:
Afflictions to a man from the reincarnation of his soul: There is [yet] another principle found in the direction of the matters of this world. And that is that the Supreme Wisdom arranged to expand salvation more, as we have mentioned, such that one soul comes to this world at various times in different bodies. And behold through this, it may repair at a different time what it corrupted in a [previous] time; or perfect what it did not perfect. However at the end of all the incarnations in the judgement in the future to come, the trial will surely be regarding [the soul], according to all of the incarnations that it experienced and all the states in which it existed. And behold it is possible that matters will occur to a person whose soul was reincarnated according to that which was caused to it from the angle of what it did in a previous incarnation. And the state [of affairs] in the world given to this man is according to this. And according to the condition that he is given will be the load incumbent upon him, as we mentioned earlier. But His judgement, may He be blessed, is exact upon each person according to what he is, in all of his aspects - meaning in all aspects of his [various] states. [This is] such that He will never burden a man in the world to come - which is the true good - with guilt that he does not really have. Rather what comes to him is from the load and assignment in this world which the Supreme Wisdom distributed to him; and his actions are judged according to that. And see that there are many specific details found in this matter of reincarnation - how a man is judged according to what he is in his incarnation and according to what preceded in another incarnation; such that all of it be according to true justice and righteousness. And about this is it stated (Deuteronomy 32:4), "The Rock's act is perfect; all of His ways are justice, etc." And the creations do not have the knowledge that can absorb His thoughts, may His name be blessed, nor the depth of His counsel. We only know this principle like [we know] all of the principles - that one of the causes of people's occurrences in this world is reincarnation - according to the righteous statutes that were legislated in front of Him, may He be blessed - for the perfection of this entire matter.
Обстоятельства, происходящие с человеком из-за перевоплощения его души: Ещё один корень обнаруживается в управлении делами Олам а-Зэ — и это то, что Высшая Мудрость устроила для ещё большего умножения спасения, как мы сказали: одна душа приходит в Олам а-Зэ несколько раз в разных телах. И благодаря этому она может исправить в одном воплощении то, что испортила в другом, или завершить то, что не завершила. И в конце всех перевоплощений, для суда будущего, суд над нею будет сообразно всему, что произошло с нею во всех перевоплощениях и во всех состояниях, в которых она побывала. И возможно, что с человеком, чья душа перевоплощена, произойдут обстоятельства, обусловленные тем, что она совершила в предыдущем перевоплощении. И тому человеку будет дано в мире состояние, сообразное этому, и сообразно данному ему состоянию будет ноша, возложенная на него, как мы сказали. И Его суд, да будет Он благословен, точен над каждым человеком, сообразно тому, каков он во всех его аспектах, — то есть во всех частностях его состояния, — так что никогда не будет возложена на человека для Олам а-Ба вина, которой у него поистине нет. Но ему будет дана ноша и поручение в Олам а-Зэ сообразно тому, что распределит ему Высшая Мудрость, и сообразно этому будут судимы его дела. Множество частных аспектов обнаруживается в этом предмете перевоплощения: каким образом человек будет судим по тому, каков он в своём перевоплощении, и по тому, что предшествовало в другом перевоплощении, — чтобы всё было по истинному и справедливому суду. И обо всём этом сказано: «Твердыня! Совершенно Его деяние, ибо все пути Его — суд...» И нет в сотворённых существах знания, которое могло бы объять мысли Его, да будет Он благословен, и глубину Его совета. Лишь этот общий принцип мы знаем, как и все прочие общие принципы: одним из источников обстоятельств, происходящих с людьми в Олам а-Зэ, является перевоплощение, — по тем справедливым законам и правилам, которые установлены пред Ним, да будет Он благословен, для завершения всего этого дела.
