בנות צעדה עלי שור (בראשית מט, כב). כלומר עלי שור שישור יוסף בהם שהוא עין טוב בכל מקום שהסתכל היה שורה ברכה, לא כן אדם אחר שמזיק היזק ראיה:
Genesis 49:22 “maidens stepped atop the wall.” This is a veiled allusion to the tradition that Joseph was immune to the “evil eye,” the reason being that he himself never was guilty of using the evil eye against anyone. «Дочери шагают над стеною» (Берешит 49:22). То есть «алей шур» — чтобы Йосеф всматривался в них, ибо у него добрый глаз: всюду, куда он смотрел, поселялось благословение. Не так другой человек, который причиняет «вред взглядом».
