או יבואר, כה תברכו את בני ישראל אמור להם כו' ושמו את שמי על בני ישראל. הכלל, לכך צריכין הכהנים לברך את ישראל בקול שישמעו ישראל בכדי שאלו אותיות שישמעו ישראל מהכהנים יעשו רושם בישראל ויאירו מול פניהם ובזה הם מתברכין. וזהו כה תברכו כו' אמור להם, דוקא לומר להם האותיות ולא די שיבקש במחשבה על ברכת ישראל, רק לאמר להם האותיות מן הברכה. וזהו ושמו את שמי על בני ישראל ואני אברכם, וקאי על ישראל:
Another way of looking at the line: כה תברכו את בני ישראל אמור להם.Basically, the rule expressed here is that not only do the priests have to bless the Jewish people, but they have to do so loudly, so that the recipients of the blessing can hear them say these words (and no others). The Torah teaches that only this combination of words will make the proper impact on the listeners, the Children of Israel. They will make their faces light up so that they will feel that they have received a blessing. It is not enough to bless the Jewish people with one’s mind, but the words have to be enunciated.We have to read the line כה תברכו, “thus you shall bless,” in conjunction with the closing words of the paragraph, ושמו את שמי על בני ישראל ואני אברכם, “thus they (the priests) shall link My name with the people of Israel and I will bless them.” (in order for the priests’ blessing to be effective this has to be the precise procedure).
Или можно объяснить: «Так благословляйте сынов Израиля, скажите им… и возложат имя Моё на сынов Израиля». Общее правило таково: коэнам надлежит благословлять Израиль голосом, чтобы Израиль слышал, — дабы буквы, которые Израиль слышит от коэнов, производили воздействие на Израиль и озаряли их лица, и через это они благословляются. И это: «Так благословляйте… скажите им» — именно произнести им буквы, и недостаточно лишь помыслить о благословении Израиля, но надлежит произнести им буквы благословения. И это: «и возложат имя Моё на сынов Израиля, и Я благословлю их» — и относится это к Израилю.
