ג וְדַע, שֶׁאֵין קִיּוּם אֱמוּנָה אֶלָּא עַל יְדֵי בְּחִינוֹת בְּרִית, בִּבְחִינוֹת (תהלים פט): וּבְרִיתִי נֶאֱמֶנֶת לוֹ.
3 . And know! faith is only lasting because of the concept of brit (the Covenant), as in (Psalms 89:29), “My covenant shall remain faithful to him.”
3. И знай! эмуна сохраняется лишь благодаря понятию brit (Союз), как сказано (Теилим 89:29): «Союз Мой будет верен ему».
וְזֶהוּ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר בְּרִית בְּשַׁבָּת, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב (שמות ל״א:ט״ז-י״ז): בְּרִית עוֹלָם בֵּינִי וּבֵין בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְכוּ'. וְזֶה (ירמיהו ל״ג:כ״ה): אִם לֹא בְרִיתִי יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה חֻקּוֹת שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ לֹא שָׂמְתִּי, כִּי חֻקּוֹת שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ, הַיְנוּ הַגַּלְגַּלִּים, תְּלוּיִים בַּבְּרִית:
And thus Covenant is associated with Shabbat, as is written (Exodus 31:16,17), “an eternal covenant, between Me and the children of Israel [that… on Shabbat He ceased working and He rested].” And this is (Jeremiah 33:25), “Were it not for My covenant with day and night, the ordinances of heaven and earth I would not have appointed.” For the ordinances of heaven and earth—i.e., the galgalim —are dependent upon the Covenant.
И так brit (Союз) связан с Shabbat, как написано (Исход 31:16,17): «…вечный brit между Мною и сынами Израиля [что… в Shabbat Он прекратил работу и Он отдохнул]». И это (Ирмеяу 33:25): «Если бы не Мой brit с днём и ночью, установлений неба и земли Я бы не назначил». Ибо установления неба и земли — то есть galgalim — зависят от brit.
