לְשׁוֹן רַבֵּנוּ זִכְרוֹנוֹ לִבְרָכָה מַה שֶּׁמַּכִּין כַּף אֶל כַּף בִּשְׁעַת הַתְּפִלָּה –

כִּי אָמְרוּ חֲכָמֵינוּ זִכְרוֹנָם לִבְרָכָה (בראשית רבה פ"א): לָמָּה הִתְחִילָה הַתּוֹרָה מִבְּרֵאשִׁית, כִּי הָעַכּוּם יֹאמְרוּ לָנוּ: גַּזְלָנִים אַתֶּם, שֶׁכְּבַשְׁתֶּם אֶרֶץ שִׁבְעָה עֲמָמִין.
Our Sages have taught (Bereishit Rabbah 1:2): Why did the Torah start with “In the beginning”? For the nations will say to us, “You are thieves! You occupied the land of the seven nations.” {“His powerful works He told to His nation to give them the heritage of the peoples” (Psalms 111:6).}
Наши Мудрецы учили (Берейшит Рабба 1:2): почему Тора начала с «В начале»? Ведь народы скажут нам: «Вы — воры! Вы заняли землю семи народов». {«Мощь дел Своих Он поведал народу Своему, чтобы дать им наследие народов» (Теилим 111:6).}
בִּשְׁבִיל זֶה: כֹּחַ מַעֲשָׂיו הִגִּיד לְעַמּוֹ – שֶׁהִגִּיד שֶׁכָּל הָעוֹלָמוֹת הַכֹּל מַעֲשֵׂי יָדָיו, וּלְמִי שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא רוֹצֶה הוּא נוֹתֵן. וְזֶה: לָתֵת לָהֶם נַחֲלַת גּוֹיִם; כִּי בְּיָדוֹ הַכֹּל. וְכָל הַדְּבָרִים נִקְרָאִים כֹּחַ מַעֲשָׂיו, כְּנֶגֶד כ"ח אַתְוָן דְּעֻבְדָּא דִּבְרֵאשִׁית, כְּנֶגֶד כ"ח פִּרְקִין דְּיָדַיִם.
Because of this, “His powerful works He told to His nation.” He told them that all the worlds are entirely the work of His hands. And the Holy One gives to the ones He favors. This is, “to give them the heritage of the peoples.” For everything is under His control, and all things are called “His KoaCh (powerful) works”—paralleling the Khaf Chet (twenty-eight) letters of the Act of Creation, paralleling the twenty-eight sections of the hands.
Из‑за этого: «Могучие дела Свои Он возвестил народу Своему». Он возвестил им, что все миры — целиком дело рук Его. И Святой, благословен Он, даёт тем, кого Он благоволит. Это — «дать им наследие народов». Ибо всё — под Его властью, и всё называется «делами Его КoaCh (силы)» — в соответствии с Каф‑Хет (двадцатью восьмью) буквами Деяния Творения, в соответствии с двадцатью восьмью частями рук.
וְזֶה יָדוּע,ַ כִּי אֲוִירָא דְּאֶרֶץ עֲמָמִין הִיא טְמֵאָה, וַאֲוִירָא דְּאֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל הוּא קָדוֹשׁ וְטָהוֹר, כִּי הוֹצִיא הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא מִתַּחַת יַד הָעַכּוּ"ם וְנָתַן לָנוּ. אֲבָל אֶרֶץ עַמִּים, שֶׁהִיא חוּץ לָאָרֶץ, שָׁם אֲוִיר טָמֵא.
And it is known that the air of the land of the nations is impure, whereas the air of the Land of Israel is holy and pure, because the Holy One took it out of the hands of the nations and gave it to us. But [in] the land of the nations—it being outside the Land—there, the air is impure.
И известно, что воздух земли народов нечист, тогда как воздух Земли Исраэля свят и чист — потому что Святой, благословен Он, вывел её из рук народов и дал её нам. Но в земле народов — поскольку она вне Земли — там воздух нечист.
וּכְשֶׁאָנוּ מָחְאָן כַּף אֶל כַּף, בָּזֶה נִתְעוֹרֵר כ"ח אַתְוָן דִּבְרֵאשִׁית, כֹּחַ מַעֲשָׂיו. וְנִמְצָא שֶׁבְּיָדוֹ לָתֵת לָנוּ נַחֲלַת גּוֹיִם, כִּי הַכֹּל שֶׁל הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא. וּבָזֶה יֵשׁ כֹּחַ בְּיָדֵינוּ לְטַהֵר אֲוִיר אֶרֶץ הָעַמִּים, כִּי נֶחֱזָר אֶרֶץ הָעַמִּים תַּחַת מֶמְשֶׁלֶת הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא, וּבְיָדוֹ לָתֵת לְכָל מִי שֶׁיִּרְצֶה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב: לָתֵת לָהֶם נַחֲלַת גּוֹיִם. וְאָז נִטְהָר אֲוִיר הַמָּקוֹם שֶׁאִישׁ הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִי מִתְפַּלֵּל, וְשׁוֹאֵב אֲוִיר הַקָּדוֹשׁ כְּמוֹ בְּאֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל.
Thus when we clap hands, we thereby rouse the twenty-eight letters of Creation, “His KoaCh works.” We see, then, that it is within His hands to give us the heritage of the peoples. For everything belongs to the Holy One. With this, we have the koach in our hands to purify the air of the land of the nations, because the land of the nations returns to the Holy One’s rule. And it is within His hands to give it to whomever he wants, as is written, “to give them the heritage of the peoples.” Then, the place in which the Jewish person prays is purified, and he breathes in holy air as in the Land of Israel.
Итак, когда мы хлопаем руками, мы тем самым пробуждаем двадцать восемь букв Деяния Творения — «дела Его KoaCh». И видим мы, что в Его руках — дать нам наследие народов. Ибо всё принадлежит Святому, благословен Он. И благодаря этому у нас есть koach в наших руках — очистить воздух земли народов, потому что земля народов возвращается под власть Святого, благословен Он. И в Его руках — дать её кому Он хочет, как написано: «дать им наследие народов». Тогда место, в котором еврей молится, очищается, и он вдыхает святой воздух, как в Земле Исраэля.
