15 טו. ההנחה החמש עשרה: הזמן הוא מקרה הבא בעקבות התנועה ונלווה אליה, ואף לא אחד מהם נמצא מבלי השני: אין תנועה אלא בזמן, ואי אפשר לתפוס שכלית זמן אלא עם תנועה. הרי שׁכּל מה שאין לו תנועה, אינו כלול בזמן.
PROPOSITION XV. Time is an accident that is related and joined to motion in such a manner that the one is never found without the other. Motion is only possible in time, and the idea of time cannot be conceived otherwise than in connexion with motion; things which do not move have no relation to time.

Пятнадцатая предпосылка: время — акциденция, следующая за движением и сопутствующая ему, и ни одно из них не существует без другого: нет движения иначе как во времени, и невозможно постичь умом время иначе как вместе с движением. Следовательно, всё, что не имеет движения, не включено во время.
