והורשתם את הארץ. כלומר מיושביה, ואחר כך וישבתם בה, שאם לא כן לא תוכלו להתקיים בה.

והורשתם את הארץ. То есть (изгнать) её жителей, а затем — וישבתם בה, ибо иначе вы не сможете в ней удержаться.
והורשתם את הארץ, “you shall drive out the land.” The meaning is to drive out the inhabitants of the land. Once you have done this, you will be able to settle in it. If you fail to drive out the present inhabitants you will not be able to stay in the land for long.

והורשתם את הארץ, «вы должны изгнать землю» (Бамидбар 33:53). Смысл — изгнать жителей земли. Сделав это, вы сможете поселиться в ней. Если вы не изгоните нынешних жителей, вы не сможете долго оставаться в этой земле.
