«И прибавили ещё ненавидеть его за его сны и за его слова». Писание разъясняет, что ненависть, которой они ненавидели его, была из‑за двух вещей: одной — из‑за сна, который он увидел; и второй — из‑за рассказа, который он рассказывал им, и он хвалился этим, как народ грешный, который совершил “праведность”, и говорит им: «послушайте же этот сон, который я видел».

וַיּוֹסִפוּ עוֹד שְׂנוֹא אוֹתוֹ עַל חֲלֹמוֹתָיו וְעַל דְּבָרָיו, “They continued to hate him still more on account of his words and his dreams.” The verse explains that their hatred was fanned by two separate causes. First they hated him for having dreamt the kind of dream that he did dream. In addition they hated him for telling them of his dream and bragging about it. It was like a sinful nation who is reprimanded but believes itself righteous expecting favours from G’d instead (Isaiah 58,2).
