מי שיצא מעיר שאביו ואמו שם והוא הולך למקום סכנה ואביו או אמו מתענים או בלא תענית מצטערים מצוה על הבן אם יכול שישכור השליח מיד וישלח כתב לאביו ולאמו שכבר יצא ממקום סכנה ובא למקום שרצה ללכת ואל יצטערו ואל יתענו עוד:
One who left the city where there are his father and mother and he is going to a dangerous place. Тот, кто вышел из города, где его отец и мать, и идёт в опасное место, а отец или мать постятся или без поста страдают — заповедь для сына: если может, пусть немедленно наймёт посланца и пошлёт письмо отцу и матери, что уже вышел из опасного места и прибыл туда, куда хотел идти, и пусть не страдают и не постятся более.
