שאלו אותו מאי צד"י, אמר להם זה נו"ן יו"ד צד"י אף זוגו נו"ן יו" ד הה"ד (משלי י' כה) וצדיק יסוד עולם:
They asked him, "What is Tzaddi?"He said to them, "A Nun [and] a Yud is Tzaddi. His partner is also a Nun [and] a Yud. This is as it is written, 'The righteous [צדיק] is the foundation of the earth' (Proverbs 10:25)."
Спросили его: что такое цади? Сказал им: это нун и йуд — вместе цади. И также пара её — нун и йуд. Об этом написано (Мишлей 10:25) «А праведник (цадик) — основа мира».
