קפ) פתח רבי שמעון וכו': פתח ר"ש ואמר, מה שכתוב, ויסב חזקיהו פניו אל הקיר ויתפלל אל ה'. בוא וראה, כמה חזק כח התורה, וכמה היא עליונה על הכל. כי כל מי שעוסק בתורה, אינו ירא מעליונים ומתחתונים, ואינו ירא מחליים רעים שבעולם, מפני שהוא אחוז בעץ החיים, ולומד ממנו בכל יום.
180. “Rabbi Shimon opened, etc.”Rabbi Shimon opened [his discourse] and said: With regard to the verse: “And Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord” [Isaiah 38:2] – come and see how great is the power of the Torah and how it is superior to everything. Anyone who engages in the Torah fears neither the higher ones nor the lower ones, and he does not fear evil illnesses in the world, because he is holding onto to the tree of life and he learns from it every day.
180) Открыл рабби Шимон и т.д.: Открыл рабби Шимон и сказал о написанном: «И отвернул Хизкияу лицо своё к стене, и помолился Господу». Приди и смотри: сколь велика сила Торы и сколь она превыше всего. Ибо всякий, кто занимается Торой, не боится ни высших, ни нижних, и не боится дурных болезней мира, ибо он держится за Древо Жизни и учится от него каждый день.
