וְכֵן אוֹמַר בְּמָה שֶׁנּוּכַל לַעֲמֹד עַל בֵּרוּרוֹ מִדֶּרֶךְ הַשֵּׂכֶל כְּמוֹ שארז״ל כָּל דָּבָר שֶׁהָיָה בַּכְּלָל וְיָצָא מִן הַכְּלָל לְלַמֵּד לֹא לְלַמֵּד עַל עַצְמוֹ יָצָא אֶלָּא לְלַמֵּד עַל הַכְּלָל כֻּלּוֹ יָצָא מִפְּנֵי שֶׁדַּעַת עִנְיַן הַיִּחוּד בְּעָנָף מִן הַדְּבָרִים שֶׁיּוּבְנוּ בְּדֶרֶךְ הַשֵּׂכֶל וְכֵיוָן שֶׁיִּתְחַיֵּב בּוֹ יִתְחַיֵּב בְּכֻלָּם:
Likewise, we will say regarding all that we are capable of grasping by Reason, as our Sages said (Rabbi Yishmael's 7th rule of expounding the Torah) "if anything included in a general proposition is made the subject of a special statement, whatever is proclaimed of that special statement is not to be understood as limited to itself, but is applied to the whole of the general proposition". Knowing the Unity of G-d is but one branch of the topics which can be understood by Reason. And as it is our duty to use this method on this topic (of G-d's Unity), it is equally our duty to do so with all of them.
И то же самое скажу о том, что мы можем прояснить путём разума. Как сказали наши мудрецы: «Всё, что было в общем правиле и вышло из общего правила, чтобы научить, — вышло учить не только о себе, но о всём правиле в целом». Ибо познание вопроса единства является ответвлением тех вещей, которые постигаются путём разума, и коль скоро оно обязывает [к исследованию], то обязывают и все остальные [подобные вопросы].
