נמצא לפי כל מה שהקדמנו שהכונה באמת בכל המצות תהיה אליו ית׳ להתקרב לו וליאור באור פניו והמניעה מן העבירות להמלט מן ההתרחק ממנו וזה התכלית האמיתי שבהן. אך הענינים בפרט יש בה עומק גדול כפי פרטי עניני האדם והבריאה וכמש״ל ונדבר עוד בקצת מהם בחלק בפ״ע בעזר האל ית׳:
It comes out according to all that we have prefaced that the true intention in all of the commandments would be to come close to Him, may He be blessed, and to be enlightened by the light of His countenance. And [the intention] of preventing sins is to escape from being distanced from Him. And this is the true purpose for them. Yet the specific matters are very deep, according to the makeup of man and of the creation, as we wrote above. And we will speak more about some of them in a separate part (Part 4), with the help of God, may He be blessed.
Итак, из всего сказанного следует, что намерение во всех заповедях поистине должно быть направлено к Нему, да будет Он благословен, — приближаться к Нему и озаряться светом Его лика. А воздержание от грехов — избежать удаления от Него. И в этом состоит их истинная цель. Но в частностях здесь заключена великая глубина, сообразно частным свойствам человека и Творения, как мы сказали. И мы ещё будем говорить о некоторых из них в отдельной части, с помощью Бога, да будет Он благословен.
