הבדל הנביאים: ואמנם גם אחרי השיגם מעלת הנבואה יבחנו הנביאים זה מזה במעלה ומדריגה בין בכמות בין באיכות פי׳ כי יש שיתנבא פעמים רבות ויש שלא יתנבא אלא מעט וכן באיכות הנבואה עצמה יש שישיג התדבקות גדול בו ית׳ וישכיל השכלות גדולות מאד ויש שהתדבקותו לא יהיה כ״כ וכן השכלתו. אמנם בזה ישוו כל המתנבאים שיהיה להם דביקות ניכר להם בו ית׳ וגילוי ממנו ית׳ אליהם ניכר אליהם בירור שלא יסתפקו בו אלא שבהתדבקות עצמו ובגילוי וההשכלה יבחנו המדריגות הרבות שיבחנו:
The difference among prophets: However even after they reached the level of prophecy, the prophets were distinguished from one another in their stature and level - both quantitatively and qualitatively. The explanation of this is that there are some that would prophesy many times; whereas there are some that would only prophesy a little. And likewise regarding the quality of the prophecy itself - there are some that would reach great cleaving with Him, may He be blessed, and arrive at very great understandings; whereas there are some for whom neither their cleaving nor their understanding would be so [great]. Nevertheless, all those that prophesy will be equal in that their cleaving to Him, may He be blessed, will be perceivable to them; and the revelation from Him, may He be blessed, will be clear to them, with a clarity about which they have no doubt. However they are differentiated by many levels regarding their cleaving, the revelation they receive and their understanding.
Различия между пророками: Даже после достижения ступени пророчества пророки различаются между собой по рангу и ступени, как в количественном, так и в качественном отношении. То есть: есть тот, кто пророчествует многократно, и есть тот, кто пророчествует лишь немного. Также и в качестве самого пророчества: есть тот, кто достигает великого прилепления к Нему, да будет Он благословен, и постигает весьма великие разумения, а есть тот, чьё прилепление не столь велико, как и его разумение. Однако в одном все пророчествующие равны: у каждого из них есть прилепление к Нему, да будет Он благословен, распознаваемое ими, и откровение от Него к ним, ясно ими распознаваемое, без всякого сомнения, — однако в самом прилеплении, в откровении и в разумении различаются многочисленные ступени.
