עשית אברהם אב לגרים: ומרוב טובו וחסדו ית׳ גזר ונתן מקום אפילו לענפי שאר האומות שבבחירתם ומעשיהם יעקרו עצמם משרשם ויוכללו מענפיו של אאע״ה אם ירצו. והוא מה שעשהו ית״ש לאברהם אב לגרים ואמר לו ונברכו בך כל משפחות האדמה ואולם אם לא ישתדלו בזה ישארו תחת אילנותיהם השרשיים כפי ענינם הטבעי:
Abraham becoming the father of converts: Yet from His great goodness and kindness, may He be blessed, He made room even for the branches of other nations to uproot themselves from their roots, by their choice and their actions, and to include themselves in the branches of our father Abraham, peace be upon him, if they [so] desired. And this is His, may His name be blessed, making Abraham the father of converts. And He said to him (Genesis 12:3), "and all the families of the earth shall bless themselves by you." However, if they do not make efforts about this, they will stay within their root trees, according to their natural situation.
Авраам сделан отцом прозелитов: По великому благу и милости Своей, да будет Он благословен, Он определил и дал возможность даже ветвям прочих народов по своему выбору и делам выкорчевать себя из своего корня и включиться в ветви Авраама, праотца нашего, если пожелают. И это то, что Он, да будет Он благословен, сделал Авраама отцом прозелитов и сказал ему: «И благословятся в тебе все семейства земли». Однако если они не приложат к этому усилий, они останутся под своими корневыми деревьями, сообразно их естественному состоянию.
