וַאֲנַחְנוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מְקַבְּלִין הַשֶּׁפַע דֶּרֶךְ אֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל. וְשֶׁפַע אֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל, הִיא הֶאָרַת פְּנֵי יַעֲקֹב, הֶאָרַת הַתְּפִלִּין. וּבִשְׁבִיל זֶה כְּתִיב בָּהּ, (בראשית מ״ט:כ״א): הַנּוֹתֵן אִמְרֵי שָׁפֶר; כִּי שֶׁפֶר זֶה בְּחִינַת פְּאֵר, בְּחִינַת תְּפִלִּין, הַיְנוּ, שֶׁהִיא נוֹתֶנֶת לָנוּ אוֹתִיּוֹת הֶאָרָה שֶׁקִּבְּלָה מִתְּפִלִּין.
4. {“Naphtali is a hind let loose, which brings forth words of shepher (acclaim)” (Genesis 49:21) . } Now we, the Jewish people, receive the influx of bounty by way of the Land of Israel. And the influx of the Land of Israel is the illumination of Yaakov’s face, the illumination of the tefilin. This is why it is written about it, “which brings forth words of shepher.” For shepher corresponds to pe’er, an aspect of tefilin. In other words, [the Land of Israel] provides us with the letters of illumination that it received from tefilin .
4. {«Нафтали — лань отпущенная, приносящая слова шефер (хвалы)» (Берешит 49:21).} И ныне мы, еврейский народ, получаем приток изобилия посредством Земли Израиля. А приток Земли Израиля — это сияние лица Яаков, сияние тефилин. Потому и написано о ней: «приносящая слова шефер». Ибо шефер соответствует пе’эр, аспекту тефилин. Иными словами, [Земля Израиля] даёт нам буквы сияния, которые она получила от тефилин.
וְזֶה פֵּרוּשׁ (קהלת ט׳:ט׳): רְאֵה חַיִּים עִם אִשָּׁה. הַנּוֹתֵן אִמְרֵי שָׁפֶר – רָאשֵׁי־תֵּבוֹת אִשָּׁה. וְזֶה: רְאֵה חַיִּים דַּיְקָא, כִּי תְּפִלִּין נִקְרָאִים חַיִּים. וְזֶה: נַפְתָּלִי אַיָּלָה שְׁלוּחָה וְכוּ', נַפְתָּלִי אוֹתִיּוֹת תְּפִלִּין:
This is also the explanation of “See to [live] life with an ishah” (Ecclesiastes 9:9). The first letters of Hanotein Imrei Shepher are IShaH. And this is specifically “See to life,” because tefilin are called life. And this is “Naphtali is a hind let loose”—NaPhTaLI has the same letters as TePhiLlIN .
