מעשה בנכרי אחד שהיה יושב ועצב. א"ל חבירו למה פניך זועפים א"ל שראה בחלום שהיה רוכב על סוס אדום היה יושב והסוס אצל במה א"ל חבירו זהו שימות מהרה במיטה אמר הפותר אם יתן לו לשתות יקנה חלומו ממנו אמר לו על מנת כן אתן לך שיהא חלומי מכור לך. וקיבל עליו ונתן לו לשתות ומת פותר החלום ביום השני. אחד היה חולה עד מות והיה אחד מתלוצץ א"ל אקנה לי החולי שלך תן לי כך וכך א"ל אתן לך מיד עמד החולה וזה חלה ומת:
There was an incident involving a gentile who was sitting with a sad countenance. His fellow said to him: "Why are you so bitter?" He returned: "I saw in a dream a rider on a red horse that was standing by an elevated platform". The fellow replied that this means that he will speedily pass away on a bed. The dream reader asked him that if he gives him to drink he will buy off his dream from him. He said: "I shall give you to drink on condition that my dream will be sold off to you." And his fellow accepted it whereupon the man give him to drink." On the next day the dream reader died. One man was deathly ill where another one was making fun, so he said "Sell me your disease and give me such and such" He said: "I will give it to you". Immediately this one rose up and this one took ill and died.
Случай с одним язычником, который сидел печальный. Сказал ему товарищ: почему лицо твоё мрачно? Ответил, что видел во сне, будто ехал на красном коне и сидел, а конь стоял у помоста. Сказал ему товарищ: это означает, что он скоро умрёт в постели. Сказал толкователь: если тот даст ему выпить, он купит у него его сон. Сказал ему: на таком условии дам тебе выпить — чтобы мой сон был продан тебе. И принял на себя, и дал ему выпить. И умер толкователь сна на следующий день. Один человек был болен при смерти, а другой насмехался. Сказал ему: куплю у тебя твою болезнь, дай мне столько-то. Ответил: дам тебе. Тотчас больной встал, а тот заболел и умер.
